Mesyuarat Teknikal Sistem Web Based Integrated Library System Bil.1/2021
Mesyuarat Teknikal Sistem WILS Bilangan 1 telah diadakan pada 30 Mac 2021 secara online. Kehadiran adalah terdiri daripada pegawai teknikal Perpustakaan UiTM dari 13 Kampus UiTM serta pegawai teknikal di Kampus Induk Shah Alam. Antara agenda yang dibincangkan adalah berkaitan pencapaian penggunaan integrasi sistem WILS dengan sistem Kewangan Universiti serta aduan yang dilaporkan dalam sistem WILS.

Sistem Audit Perpustakaan UiTM telah berjaya dibangunkan dan digunakan ketika Mesyuarat Pembukaan Audit Perpustakaan UiTM Bilangan 1 Tahun 2021 pada 3 Februari 2021. Penggunaan sistem ini sangat bertepatan dan sesuai kerana proses auditan dijalankan secara online. Semoga sistem yang dibangunkan ini akan memudahkan proses audit di Perpustakaan secara digital.

Live@PTAR Siri 3 "Cyber Security Malaysia CyberSAFE Awareness Talk: "Excuse Me, Your Privacy is Showing"
Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR) UiTM Shah Alam telah menganjurkan program bual bicara secara langsung bertajuk “Cyber Security Malaysia CyberSAFE Awareness Talk: "Excuse Me, Your Privacy is Showing" di bawah segmen Bicara Tokoh. Program ini telah dikendalikan oleh Puan Siti Salwa A. Rahman, Pustakawan Kanan, selaku pengacara majlis bersama dengan panel jemputan, Encik Edwan Aidid, Certified Information Security Awareness Manager (CISAM), Cyber Security Malaysia. Cyber Security Malaysia merupakan satu agensi di bawah Kementarian Komunikasi dan Multimedia yang berpengalaman dalam bidang keselamatan cyber di Malaysia. Panel jemputan menekankan empat prinsip keselamatan cyber yang perlu diambil perhatian oleh pengguna iaitu awareness, discipline, attitude dan best practices. Menurut beliau, terdapat tiga platform utama yang banyak digunakan iaitu Whats App, Facebook dan Instagram. Selain itu, Encik Edwan Aidid turut berkongsi taktik-taktik yang telah digunakan oleh pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab untuk mengambil data peribadi pengguna tanpa disedari seperti fraud, scams dan caller spoofing. Oleh yang demikian, beliau menasihati pengguna agar berhati-hati dalam membuat transaksi secara atas talian dan boleh membuat semakan nombor akaun atau nombor telefon di Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersil Polis DiRaja Malaysia. Beliau menyeru agar pengguna menjadi ‘pemimpin internet’ dengan mengamalkan T.I.P iaitu Thinker, Inspire dan Proactive. Semoga perkongsian kali ini dapat memberi manfaat kepada masyarakat, khususnya warga UiTM.

The "The Ranking Web of World repositories" is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones CientÃficas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.
Spanish Research Council main buildingCSIC is among the first basic research organizations in Europe. The CSIC consisted in 2006 of 126 centers and institutes distributed throughout Spain.
CSIC is attached to the Ministry of Education and its main objective is to promote scientific research as to improve the progress of the scientific and technological level of the country which will contribute to increase the welfare of the citizens.
CSIC also plays an important role in the formation of new researchers and technicians in the different aspects of the science and the technology.
The organization collaborates with other institutions of the Spanish R&D system (universities, autonomous governs, other public and private research organisms) and with social, economic, national or foreign agents to which contributes with its research capacity and human and material resources in the development of research projects or under the form of consultancy and scientific and technical support. CSIC was founded in 1939 from a previous body, the Junta para la Ampliación de Estudios e Investigaciones CientÃficas created in 1907 under the leadership of the Spanish Nobel Prize Prof. Ramón y Cajal.
CCHS building
The laboratory is located at the Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales (CCHS). This center started during 2007 and originated from the merge in one place of the different centers and institutes devoted to the Social and Humanity Sciences that belongs to the CSIC and were located in Madrid.
The Cybermetrics Lab, part of the CCHS - CSIC, is devoted to the quantitative analysis of the Internet and Web contents specially those related to the processes of generation and scholarly communication of scientific knowledge. This is a new emerging discipline that has been called Cybermetrics (our team developed and publishes the free electronic journal Cybermetrics since 1997) or Webometrics.
